Hunter Engineering is pleased to announce it has once again been named a winner in the 2023 PTEN Innovation Awards contest.
Hunter was honored for its 1708-T Online Alignment Guide in the automotive software category.
The awards were established in 1999 to honor companies that help auto repair professionals excel at their jobs through innovative new tools and equipment.
The 2023 contest included more than 100 submissions across 26 categories, with winners selected by a third-party judging panel consisting of technicians and shop owners. To qualify, products had to be introduced or significantly updated within the past year.
Previously available in print only, Hunter recently made its well-known and respected 1708-T Alignment Guide available to Hunter customers via the HunterNet® 2 portal at no charge.
Updated twice yearly and representing a $19.99 value, the guide has been a staple of point-of-sale counters for years, serving as the go-to source for service advisors quoting alignment work, and more recently, ADAS requirements.
“We’re proud that PTEN’s expert judges recognized the Alignment Guide’s ease of use, through its linked table of contents, quick search capability and full-screen display,” said Hunter Product Manager Alan Hagerty. “Now shops will always have the latest version online, with no reordering of printed copies necessary.”
“On behalf of the PTEN Innovation Awards, I would like to congratulate Hunter Engineering on their winning entry, the 1708-T Online Alignment Guide,” PTEN Editor Emily Markham said. “This competitive program allows PTEN to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products impacting the vehicle repair community this year.”
Winning submissions will be published in the August 2023 issue of PTEN. The magazine will also present an official awards ceremony to honor Innovation Awards winners at the AAPEX Show this November in Las Vegas.
