In an act of holiday spirit and community support, Maaco West Springfield in Massachusetts helped local military veterans and their families prepare for the colder months.

The coat distribution event was organized in collaboration with the Massachusetts Military Support Foundation, renowned for its dedication to enhancing the lives of veterans, active-duty military and their families.

The event's reach was further extended with the involvement of partners Home Depot, Ocean State Job Lot and the NFL New England Patriots Foundation.

Adding to the festive and supportive atmosphere, attendees had the unique opportunity to engage with officers from the West Springfield Police Department. The event also offered more than just coats; essential winter items like socks, cough drops and lotion were available, catering to a broader range of needs.

At the heart of this event was Joe Houghton, a veteran and owner of Maaco West Springfield, which has been serving the community since 1990.

“As a veteran myself, I felt it was my duty to help in any way I could,” Houghton said. “I am always happy to be a partner to my community and help as many veterans and families as I can.”
