Having acquired the vehicle a few months prior, McCann willingly plunged into the challenges, immersing his prized possession into the daunting terrains of Cowm Quarry, renowned as one of the most formidable off-road courses globally.
Spread across an expansive 150 acres, the quarry offers an array of treacherous terrains, inviting daring spirits to explore the thresholds of their off-road machinery. McCann’s venture was not without precautions; he meticulously applied Paint Protection Film (PPF) to the Sterrato, albeit resorting to the unconventional use of duct tape. However, the quintessential robustness of the quarry soon unveiled the limitations of the Sterrato. The vehicle’s encounter with the rugged terrains highlighted its unsuitability for trails saturated with ruts, a domain where vehicles like the Wrangler or Land Rover reign supreme.
Realizing the inherent constraints, McCann transported the Sterrato to a custom-made dirt track, aligned more with the vehicle’s propensity for loose gravel, dirt, and sand. Here, amidst a series of trial runs marked by temporary setbacks, including a malfunctioning ABS system, McCann successfully executed the daring jump with the Sterrato. The spectacular feat was a testament to the exhilarating possibilities embedded within the realms of automotive indulgence when financial constraints are non-existent.
