Polyvance announced the immediate availability of its innovative Kenworth T880 Short Forward Axle repair kit. This new kit presents a revolutionary solution to the common issue of strut mount damage on the Kenworth T880 set-forward front axle hood, traditionally a challenging problem due to the hood's non-weldable fiberglass construction.
The Kenworth T880, known for its robustness and reliability, often faces the challenge of strut mount damage. This damage, until now, necessitated expensive and time-consuming hood replacements. Polyvance's new repair kit introduces an economical and efficient alternative that promises to restore the hood's integrity to its original strength.
Central to this repair kit are two custom-cast aluminum caps, designed to align perfectly with the contours of the Kenworth T880's hood where the struts are mounted. These caps are securely bonded over a large area to the hood using Polyvance's 2510 PlastiFix, a two-component methacrylate adhesive renowned for its strong bonding capabilities. The kit includes two 200ml dual cartridges of this adhesive, one for each side, ensuring a comprehensive and reliable repair solution.
Entirely designed and manufactured in the U.S., the new T880 forward axle kit joins a growing lineup of Kenworth hood repair solutions by Polyvance, which also includes kits for other T880 hoods, as well as for the popular T800 and W900 models.
