Schaefer Autobody Centers has received the prestigious 2023 TORCH Award for Ethics from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in two regions: St. Louis and Columbia, MO, Quality Collision Group announced.

Schaefer Autobody Centers, a St. Louis-based collision repairer, joined Quality Collision Group in April, bringing with it 14 locations in Missouri and Southern Illinois. During a luncheon Oct. 3 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis, Operations Manager Aaron Burchett accepted the award on behalf of Schaefer Autobody Centers, one of only nine recipients in the St. Louis region.

BBB St. Louis President and CEO Michelle Corey lauded such organizations, saying, “These organizations are role models for other businesses and nonprofits in the community. They have truly committed themselves to BBB’s mission to advance marketplace trust, and are making a positive impact on their customers and communities.”

Schaefer Autobody Centers' leadership also convened for another 2023 TORCH Award for Ethics in Columbia on Oct. 10, marking a remarkable double win for the company.

Matt Robbins, COO at Quality Collision Group, emphasized the company's commitment to ethical practices.

“Schaefer Autobody Centers' success underscores the exceptional results from our dedication to quality and ethics," Robbins said. "This recognition reinforces our commitment at Quality Collision Group to upholding the highest ethical standards in the collision repair industry.”

The Better Business Bureau's TORCH Award recognizes high ethical standards based on criteria like customer reviews, company culture and community impact. Schaefer Autobody Centers maintains an "A+" rating and adheres to the principle of "putting integrity into action."

Jaime Matthews, VP at Schaefer Autobody Centers, underlined the business' commitment to integrity and quality.

“The awards from the Better Business Bureau mirror our unwavering dedication to integrity and quality," Matthews said. "Furthermore, these recognitions reflect Schaefer Autobody Centers’ devotion to ethical excellence, ensuring our continued commitment to customers, suppliers, staff and the community.”

Schaefer Autobody Centers previously won the TORCH Award for Ethics in St. Louis in 2010 and in Columbia in 2017. It has been an active BBB member since 2001, holding "Accredited" status since 2009, showcasing its commitment to ethical business practices.
